Are the old versions of Axapta expiring?
No, at least in 2031 at the earliest. And probably by then we will have experience in upgrading to even newer versions. In other words, we extend the life of your AX.
Security and stability on Microsoft Windows Server
A very important parameter is security and stability. If you run on an old Windows version, it is important that you are upgraded to a version that is still updated with security packages and for which support is provided. We recommend that both the SQL server, the AOS server and the application server be upgraded to the latest Windows server version, e.g. Windows 2022. The AX clients can also run on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
With ever-increasing risk of hacker attacks, the importance of security has not diminished. That is why it is important to have a supported Microsoft server version that continuously delivers security packages.
